I haven’t blogged in awhile (since May? Oy!). I’d like to tell you that it’s because I’ve been busy enjoying a fabulous, carefree summer, but that would be a big fat lie. I’ve simply been lazy and uninspired. So it goes…
In honor of fall’s first day, I thought I’d post something. I’ve been looking at transitional fall fashion since July, but I live in FLA, so it’s not really a thing for me. It’s still a balmy 87 degrees outside for fuck’s sake. However, I am heading to Atlanta tomorrow, and I plan to fully embrace some fall(ish) looks. I may even snap some pictures.
One of my weekend goals is to find, and buy a fringed, leather midi skirt. Note: I’m obsessed with fringe. Always have been, and always will be. Well, maybe not in January when every basic bitch on the planet has exhausted the trend, but for now, its ubiquity makes me happy.
What you see here is practical, boho perfection. The combination of worn-in denim, a floppy felt fedora, and a fringed kimono is fool proof.
Last year, I bought an over-sized, buffalo checked shirt from Old Navy; it was a fall/winter wardrobe darling. In fact, I loved it enough to purchase another. My latest, more-fitted acquisition will pair nicely with the skirt I am so determined to find. I love how she has dressed the traditionally causal pattern up with strappy heels, and loose curls.
This concept, (sleek, modern coordinates and white sneakers, paired with a funky, fringed bag), is bloody brilliant.
J’adore! Fringe, stilettos, and a graphic tee for the win.
